Helping Paw When You
Need It
We offer a Welfare Fund that is open to anyone who requires help with their
dog’s wellbeing.
We are here to help in providing financial support for veterinary care.
If your dog requires assistance with any aspect of its welfare a payment of up
to £500 (paid directly to the supplier) is available.
Ashgrove Veterinary Practice where some of the beneficiaries of the Welfare
Fund are treated, said:
"Here at Ashgrove Vets, we are a 100% small animal practice with three
busy surgeries who now have over 50 members of staff (Vets, Nurses, VCAs
and Reception staff).
We have approached the DAWGS Welfare Fund for our clients since 2023
now and have had the opportunity to use this as a cash injection source on
several occasions to help clients who desperately need financial assistance
in the event of an emergency arising when they least expect it.
This fund is an excellent idea and is very much appreciated by the fortunate
people who have actually had success in treating their pets with these
means and who are extremely grateful that this exists. The alternative option
would be having to say goodbye to their beloved pets as they cannot afford
to treat them, which no-one wants to consider."

order to help as many dogs as possible, we can only offer one DAWGS
Welfare Fund payment per person, per year
